Pause on Purpose

Ariel Belgrave is a wellness entrepreneur, speaker, retreat host, and founder of Pause on Purpose™—but at her core, she is someone deeply committed to building a life that feels as good as it looks. After more than a decade working in corporate America, including roles at JPMorgan and Meta, Ariel made the leap into entrepreneurship and began building a career around the things she has always cared about most: wellness, movement, meaningful connection, and helping people create lives that feel sustainable and full. A former collegiate rugby player and longtime Under Armour athlete, Ariel’s relationship with wellness started through movement, but over the years it has grown into something much bigger.

As a certified fitness professional with expertise spanning strength training, dance fitness, and burnout prevention, she has spent years leading workouts, workshops, and wellness experiences that help people feel stronger, more energised, and more connected to themselves. Today, she sees wellness as the way we care for our energy, make room for joy, spend time with people who fill us up, explore the world, and give ourselves permission to experience life beyond our responsibilities. Travel has become one of Ariel’s favourite ways to do exactly that. She is an adventure lover, experience chaser, and firm believer in saying yes to the things that make life memorable—whether that means climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, trying something completely outside of her comfort zone, discovering a new destination, sharing a beautiful meal, or laughing until her stomach hurts with people she just met a few days earlier. That same energy shapes the retreats she hosts. Ariel thoughtfully designs experiences that balance rest and adventure, wellness and fun, intention and spontaneity.

Throughout her retreats, she also brings her own wellness expertise into the experience through movement sessions, workshops, and practices designed to help guests reconnect with their bodies, energy, and well-being. She cares deeply about the details, but even more about the people in the room. Over the years, she has built a community of incredible women who come together to explore, connect, recharge, and create friendships that often extend far beyond the trip itself. For Ariel, the best retreats aren’t about escaping your life. They’re about stepping away long enough to remember how much of your life is still yours to enjoy. Her hope is simple: that every woman leaves feeling a little more connected, a little more alive, and with a few unforgettable stories to tell.
